The one documented practical shortcoming on the Next Generation is that the quarter lockers remain difficult to access, so check those compartments open and close without fighting the cockpit geometry anchor. Otherwise the structure itself is well defended: the integral stainless-steel frame absorbs mast and keel loads, the keel is encapsulated in a reinforced epoxy shell, and a watertight forward bulkhead is present anchor. Confirm the central tank array below the sole is intact, since all tanks sit there for balance, and inspect the recessed running rigging paths under the teak decks for wear if those decks are fitted anchor.
