The Ericson 380 represents the final and most sophisticated evolution of the Ericson 38, a design that defined the performancecruising category for over a decade. While the original Ericson 38 was launched in 1980 under the Ericson Yachts banner, the 380 is a product of the brand’s transition to Pacific Seacraft in the early 1990s. When Pacific Seacraft acquired the molds, they reengineered the vessel to meet their exacting standards for bluewater construction, resulting in a boat that combines Bruce King’s legendary hull lines with superior joinery and systems. This model is the direct successor to the Ericson 38200, sharing its integrated swim platform (sugarscoop transom) but benefiting from the "overbuilt" philosophy of the Pacific Seacraft yard.
