The Hunter 252, introduced in 2005 as a modern successor to the brand’s original 1970s icon, represents a significant evolution in the entrylevel trailerable cruiser category. Designed by Glenn Henderson during a period of high innovation for Hunter Marine, this model—often referred to as the "new" Hunter 25—moved away from the traditional heavydisplacement philosophy toward a versatile, waterballasted system. It was engineered to bridge the gap between a daysailer and a serious pocket cruiser, offering a level of interior volume rarely seen in a 25foot hull. While it shares a name with the Cherubinidesigned original, the 252 is an entirely different beast, defined by its highaspect B&R rig, Henderson’s signature "Teesection" structural grid, and a focus on ease of transport.
