The Bente 28 represents a significant evolution in the "pocket cruiser" category, designed by the renowned naval architecture firm Judel/Vrolijk & Co to bridge the gap between a highperformance daysailer and a genuine offshore cruiser. Launched under the reorganized ownership of Bente Yachts following the brand’s highprofile insolvency in 2020, the 28footer was conceived to capitalize on the cult success of its predecessor, the Bente 24, while avoiding the financial overreach associated with the ambitious Bente 39 flagship. The vessel is characterized by its signature "glass" dodger—a colorful, permanent sprayhood that extends into a panoramic coachroof—and a hull form that borrows heavily from modern offshore racing designs, including a wide transom, hard chines, and a voluminous bow.
