Shopping the brokerage market for a Neel 52 means looking at a Marc Lombard trimaran built from 2023 onward as the successor to the Neel 51, offered in both private and former-charter layouts. Charter four-cabin layouts are the more common used examples, but both private and charter configurations are available and ex-charter examples are common. Knowing the layout families and the wear points separates a sound purchase from a tired former fleet boat.

The 52 can be specced with three to six cabins, and ex-charter examples often show the six-cabin arrangement that gains extra saloon and dining space on the bridgedeck by omitting the owner's cabin there. Private boats more often keep the reconfigured owner's suite spanning the bridgedeck and the whole starboard ama, with a heads and shower mid-ama and a forward washer or work space. Four-cabin boats place a double in the port ama with a long hull window; the port ama can also split into two doubles sharing a head. A central main-hull double sits under the solid bridge deck with restricted light, and crew cabins can be added aft in each ama. The saloon adjoins the cockpit through the Cockloon opening, though one must stoop to see from the forward saloon windows.

Visibility from the raised starboard helm to the opposite bow can be tricky, and on starboard tack there is a large blind spot requiring descent of four steps to clear the jib. At the helm, testers found lots of rope and insufficient rope bins to manage it, a point to check for chafe and clutter. The nav station suffers a mullion interrupting sightlines and has no hatch above for mainsail view. Internally, some examples show hard interior edges that may not wear as well as rounded corners, and locker interiors with a mass-market home-furniture feel worth surveying for delamination or impact damage.
