Launched as a flagship model to capitalize on the success of the awardwinning 13.98, the 15.98 was designed by the Italia Yachts Design Team in collaboration with Matteo Polli for naval architecture and Tommaso Spadolini for the interior styling. It is a yacht defined by its "allround" philosophy, intended to provide the structural stiffness and tankage required for transoceanic crossings while maintaining the sleek, minimalist aesthetic that defines the modern Italian school of naval design. According to the official Italia Yachts 15.98 documentation, the hull is constructed using a sandwich of Eglass and PVC foam core infused with vinylester resin, a technique that ensures a high strengthtoweight ratio and longterm osmotic resistance.
