The Corsair 24 Mark II, also widely recognized as the F24 Mark II, represents a definitive milestone in the evolution of the modern trailerable trimaran. Designed by legendary multihull pioneer Ian Farrier and built by Corsair Marine from 1996 to 2003, this compact trimaran represents a highly refined secondgeneration development of the original F24 Mark I. By successfully bridging the gap between raw, adrenalinefueled sportboat performance and pocketcruising utility, the Mark II carved out a unique niche in the sailing world. The cornerstone of its identity is the patented Farrier folding system. With a few turns of a wrench, the boat’s massive sailing beam of 17 feet 11 inches folds down to a highwaylegal 8 feet 2 inches, enabling owners to trailer the boat behind a standard family SUV and store it in a suburban driveway. This design opensourced highperformance multihull sailing to a demographic that had previously been locked out by the steep slip costs and slip availability of fixedbeam multihulls.
