The Comfortina 38 represents a pivotal era for the Swedish shipyard Comfortbåtar AB, marking a transition toward modern performanceoriented cruising under the design direction of Thomas Bern. Launched in the mid1980s as a successor and alternative to the Kenneth Albinssondesigned Comfortina 39, the 38 was engineered to provide a more contemporary hull shape and a more efficient sail plan.
