The Dufour 48 (launched as a 2025 model) represents a bold evolution of the French shipyard’s performancecruising DNA, succeeding the highly successful Dufour 470. Designed by longtime collaborator Umberto Felci of Felci Yacht Design, this 15.29meter monohull is engineered to maximize volume and "form stability" without sacrificing the nimble handling characteristic of the brand. Often referred to in early promotional materials as the "48 Sail" to distinguish its primary propulsion in an era of hybrid options, the vessel features a significantly fuller bow and more pronounced hull chines than its predecessor. This design choice increases interior volume and buoyancy forward, allowing for a more aggressive sail plan and improved behavior in a following sea.
