The Aloa 27 represents a pivotal moment in the evolution of SEB Marine (later Aloa Marine) as it transitioned from building small, trailerable coastal cruisers to more substantial, offshorecapable yachts. Launched in the mid1970s, the Aloa 27 was designed by the esteemed Dutch naval architect Frans Maas, a man whose reputation was built on the legendary "Standfast" line of racing and cruising yachts.
