Born from the wreckage of the devastating 2003 Bol d’Or on Lake Geneva, where a sudden, violent squall destroyed much of the local Formula 40 multihull fleet, the Decision 35 emerged as a masterclass in specialized, highperformance racing design. Conceived by a passionate group of Swiss owners and realized by the renowned naval architect Sébastien Schmidt, alongside composite experts at the Decision SA shipyard, this extreme catamaran was engineered to redefine lake and inland multihull racing. Built as a strict onedesign class to curb spiraling development costs, the boat’s primary mission was to conquer the demanding, often whisperlight wind conditions of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) while remaining robust enough to withstand the sudden, tempestuous mountain winds that frequently sweep the region. Unlike traditional offshore cruising catamarans or massmarket multihulls, the Decision 35 was developed strictly for competition, stripping away all notions of cruising comfort to deliver an uncompromised, highoctane racing machine.
