The SJ 320, launched in 1994 by Seaquest Yachts and designed by the prolific naval architect Stephen Jones, is a highperformance cruiserracer that carved a distinct niche in the European regatta circuit. Primarily built in the United Kingdom by Eaton Marine (under the Seaquest brand), the vessel was conceived as a versatile IRCfocused competitor capable of challenging the dominance of larger production builders like Beneteau. It is characterized by a stiff, lightdisplacement hull and a generous sail plan, earning it a reputation as a "giant killer" in lighttomoderate air. The model was succeeded by the Seaquest 32 (also known as the SQ32), which refined the hull’s performance characteristics with a modernized rig and a deeper bulb keel.
