The Santana 3030 PC (Performance Cruiser) represents a pivotal moment in the mid1980s for W.D. Schock Corporation, marking a transition toward the highperformance design language of naval architects Bruce Nelson and Bruce Marek. Introduced in 1984, the 3030 was engineered specifically to compete in the burgeoning "racercruiser" market, primarily positioned as a direct West Coast rival to the successful J/30. Unlike the earlier Gary Mulldesigned Santana 30, which featured a masthead rig and a more traditional hull form, the W.D.
