Launched in 2011, the model was marketed under the resurrected Varianta brand name, a nod to Michael Schmidt’s early successes. The core philosophy of the Varianta 44 was to strip away the "expensive fluff"—such as heavy interior woodwork, complex electronic systems, and highend finishes—to deliver a massive, 44foot hull with a pedigree hull design at a price point typically reserved for much smaller vessels.
