The Irwin 372, frequently identified as the Mark II version of Ted Irwin’s highly successful 37foot platform, represents a pivotal moment in the evolution of the American centercockpit cruiser. While the original Irwin 37 was conceived with a nod toward the IOR (International Offshore Rule) racing era, the 372 was purposefully reengineered to maximize the "liveaboard" potential that would define the brand’s legacy throughout the late 1970s and 1980s. With its high freeboard, expansive beam, and signature shoaldraft capability, the 372 was designed specifically for the thin waters of the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.
