The Frers 30 represents a highpedigree intersection of Argentinian design elegance and American performance engineering. Launched in the late 1980s, the yacht was born from a collaboration between the legendary naval architect Germán Frers and Carroll Marine of Warren, Rhode Island. During an era where many 30footers were drifting toward voluminous, heavy cruising accommodations, the Frers 30 stayed true to a racercruiser ethos, offering a stiff, responsive platform that could hold its own on a Wednesday night race course while providing sufficient amenities for a coastalcruising couple. The boat is often characterized by its clean, lowprofile deck lines and a hull shape that, while influenced by the International Offshore Rule (IOR) of the time, avoids the more extreme "distortions" seen in many 1980s designs, resulting in a more predictable and seaworthy motion.
