The Endeavour 26 stands as a quintessential representative of Australia’s fiberglass boatbuilding revolution. Emerging in 1969 as a larger, more capable successor to the foundational Endeavour 24, the 26 was designed by Reg Gardner and his team to provide a "stepup" yacht for families who required more volume without sacrificing the accessibility that made the builder famous. Produced by Endeavour Yachts in New South Wales until approximately 1983, the model saw a production run of roughly 126 units, including the later "Mark 2" variant, which introduced higher freeboard and increased internal volume. As one of the first massproduced fiberglass yachts in the region, it helped bridge the gap between club racing and coastal cruising, offering a robust, lowmaintenance alternative to the timber designs that preceded it.
