The Bavaria Cruiser 47 arrived in the late 2000s as a cornerstone of the German shipyard’s efforts to modernize its fleet under the design direction of J&J Design. This model represented a transition for Bavaria Yachts, moving away from the more utilitarian aesthetics of the early 2000s toward a more voluminous, lightfilled cruising experience. Launched around 2008, it served as a larger sibling to the successful Cruiser 43 and a more manageable alternative to the flagship Cruiser 51. The vessel was designed primarily for the highvolume charter market and bluewater coastal cruising, prioritizing cockpit ergonomics and interior cabin count over racing performance.
