The XYachts X119, launched in 1988, represents a pivotal era for the Danish builder, bridging the gap between the pure racing success of the X79 and X99 and the more robust performance cruisers that would later define the brand. Designed by Niels Jeppesen, the X119 was conceived as a highperformance onedesign racer that did not sacrifice the basic amenities required for fast coastal cruising. With approximately 74 units produced between 1988 and 1992, it earned a reputation for being one of the fastest yachts in its size bracket, frequently dominating the IOR and IMS racing circuits of the late 20th century.
