The Wasa 530, frequently referred to as the Wasa 530 Pacific, stands as the flagship achievement of the Swedish yard Wasa Yachts. Launched in the late 1980s and designed by the renowned naval architect Leif Ängermark, the 530 was envisioned as a highperformance "passage maker" capable of covering vast ocean distances with speed and security. Unlike many of its contemporaries that were constrained by racing rules, the 530 was optimized for pure sailing efficiency and longhaul comfort. The "Pacific" moniker was chosen as an exotic nod to its sister model, the Wasa Atlantic, signaling the yacht's intent as a robust, bluewater voyager. Today, the model remains a rare but highly respected sight in the international cruising community, as noted by Wasa Yachts in their historical archives.
