The Starkel Star 60 is a pinnacle of Italian yacht design and custom craftsmanship. Conceived by naval architect Roberto Starkel and brought to life by the master artisans at the Base Nautica Stella Polare shipyard in Fiumicino, Italy, the Star 60 represents a rare breed of performance cruiserracers. Built during the early to mid2000s, this semicustom series was designed to challenge the dominant Scandinavian yards of the era, such as Nautor's Swan and Baltic Yachts. Rather than utilizing a standard fiberglass production line, the designers opted for an ultrastiff, lightweight, and quiet woodepoxy and carbon composite structure. With only four hulls ever launched—originally named Birillo IV (later Arabesque), Ikarus II (later Giulia G), Marie Claire, and Grande Orazio—each vessel carries a distinct personality, catering to seasoned yachtsmen who demand exceptional upwind performance and bespoke luxury.
