The Show 29, a quintessential product of the Italian yachting boom of the late 1970s, remains a hallmark of the collaboration between Cantieri Barberis and the French naval architect Alain Jézéquel. Introduced as a mid-sized performance cruiser, the Show 29 was designed to bridge the gap between the smaller, entry-level Show 24 and the more robust, offshore-capable Show 34. Produced primarily between 1978 and the early 1980s, the model capitalized on Jézéquel’s expertise in the International Offshore Rule (IOR) era, resulting in a hull that balances the aggressive spirit of Mediterranean racing with the creature comforts required for family coastal cruising.
