The Sailart 22 marks a significant departure from the traditional design language of the Erftstadtbased shipyard, representing the first model in a new generation of performanceoriented daysailers. Designed by the engineering firm V. Ahlen, the 22footer moves away from the rounded, classic aesthetics of its predecessor, the Sailart 20, in favor of a modern, aggressive profile characterized by a nearvertical "wavepiercing" bow, a pronounced hard chine that runs nearly the length of the hull, and an exceptionally wide, open transom. This design shift was intended to bridge the gap between a pure racing sportboat and a manageable weekend cruiser. Constructed with the brand's signature focus on "Made in Germany" precision, the vessel is built using highquality glassreinforced plastic (GRP) and is engineered to be entirely unsinkable, a safety feature that defines the manufacturer’s approach to small yacht construction. According to the official Sailart 22 specifications, the boat manages to maintain a trailerable weight of approximately 950 kg to 1,000 kg depending on configuration, making it one of the most versatile performance cruisers in its size class.
