The RL 34 stands as the ambitious flagship of the Rob Legg Yachts fleet, representing the pinnacle of the Australian designer’s philosophy of "maxitrailerable" performance. Launched following the massive success of the RL 24 and RL 28, the RL 34 was designed to bridge the gap between a highperformance racing yacht and a legitimate coastal cruiser. While Rob Legg is primarily celebrated for the RL 24, the 34foot variant was a bold statement that a vessel of significant size could still maintain the versatility of a lifting keel. Most RL 34s were constructed as swingkeelers, though a fixedkeel "Coastal" version was also produced for owners who prioritized ultimate stability over shallowwater access.
