The Holland 46, often referred to in performance circles as the M 46 to designate hulls built by the Maas shipyard in the Netherlands, is a definitive example of Ron Holland’s mastery during the height of the International Offshore Rule (IOR) era. Emerging as a productionevolution of Holland’s legendary Admiral's Cup winners like Yeoman XXIII, this 46foot performance sloop was engineered to bridge the gap between a purebred ocean racer and a highlatitude cruising yacht. Unlike the lighter, massmarket designs of the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Holland 46 was typically a semicustom undertaking.
