Designed in 1976 by the celebrated Italian naval architect Ettore Santarelli, the Furia D25—also built and marketed in Italy as the Dullia 25 Furia—is a historically significant pocket cruiser that bridged the gap between spirited regatta performance and weekend family cruising. Produced under license in Spain by Drassanes Esportives S.A. (Dresport), this design represented a departure from the heavy, slowdisplacement coastal cruisers that dominated the Mediterranean marinas of the mid1970s. Santarelli brought his signature lightdisplacement, highsailarea design language to the project, giving the D25 a level of speed and helm responsiveness that was uncommon for entrylevel cruisers of the era. Dresport’s construction quality was respectable, utilizing solid fiberglass laminates that have proven exceptionally durable over the decades, ensuring that many of these boats remain active in European and Mediterranean waters today.
