The Friendship 33, a quintessential Dutch cruiser, was introduced in the mid-1980s as a sophisticated evolution of the shipyard’s earlier success with smaller coastal vessels. Designed by the renowned naval architect Koos de Ridder, who was responsible for many of the brand’s most enduring hull shapes, the 33 was positioned as a high-quality, mid-sized family cruiser capable of handling the demanding, short-period chop of the North Sea and the IJsselmeer.
