The Flamingo 32 is a performanceoriented cruiserracer primarily associated with the South American offshore racing circuit, specifically the Brazilian yachting industry. Designed by the internationally acclaimed naval architect Horacio Carabelli, whose career includes leadership roles in Volvo Ocean Race and America’s Cup campaigns, the Flamingo 32 was produced by Estaleiro Flamingo. The vessel was conceived to bridge the gap between dedicated club racers and familyoriented coastal cruisers, offering a hull speed and agility that often outpaced contemporary production monohulls from larger European yards. Constructed largely during the 1990s and early 2000s, the Flamingo 32 remains a staple in regional IMS and ORC handicap racing, prized for its robust build and the design pedigree of its creator.
