When South African naval architect Dudley Dix introduced the Didi 26 in 1997, he answered a growing demand for a highperformance sportboat that could be built in a backyard garage. Following the success of his larger radiuschine plywood designs, Dix scaled down the concept to create a trailersailer that could challenge the speed of contemporary fiberglass production racers while remaining highly accessible to amateur builders. The resulting boat is a lightweight, aggressive, yet surprisingly practical pocket cruiserracer that has carved out a passionate niche globally.
