Designed by the prolific Frans Maas, the 34 was introduced in the late 1990s as a robust, seakindly cruiser that prioritized safety and volume over racing aspirations. According to the manufacturer’s historical archives at CYacht, the model was later rebranded as the CYacht 10.40 in 2001, continuing production until approximately 2008. The vessel is easily identified by its distinctive, heavy rubber rubbing strake—a signature of the yard—and its high freeboard, which contributes to an exceptionally dry deck and substantial interior headroom.
