The CT-43 is a robust and substantial monohull sailboat, recognized for its heavy-displacement design and seaworthy characteristics, making it well-suited for serious cruising. Built by the Taiwanese shipyard Ta Chiao Shipbuilding Co. between 1985 and 1991, this vessel was conceived by the renowned New Zealander maritime architect Ron Holland. It is also known by the designation RH-43 and shares significant similarities, including identical hull lines, with the Formosa 43.
