The Waarschip 1076 represents a sophisticated evolution in the Dutch shipyard’s lineage, bridging the gap between the ultralight racing focus of the earlier 1010 and the bluewater requirements of the larger 1220. Developed during a period when Waarschip was refining its "combiconstruction" techniques—merging highquality Bruynzeel plywood with epoxy resins—the 1076 was designed to be a fast, Category Acertified cruiser capable of tackling the North Sea and beyond. Unlike its predecessor, the 1010, which prioritized a narrow beam for upwind efficiency, the 1076 features a more generous beam and increased freeboard, offering a significantly higher volume for longdistance voyaging while maintaining the brand's signature multichine aesthetic.
