The Southerly 430, first introduced in 2010, represents the pinnacle of variabledraft cruising design. Designed by the highly regarded Humphreys Yacht Design, the 430 was developed as a direct evolution of the successful Southerly 42 RST. Initially built by Northshore Yachts and later constructed under the stewardship of the Discovery Yachts Group, the model was conceived to solve the ageold maritime compromise: the tradeoff between the deep draft required for efficient offshore performance and the shallow draft needed to explore remote, thinwater anchorages.
