The Elite 326, produced by the renowned French shipyard Kirié, represents a pivotal era in midsized cruiser design, blending the performanceoriented naval architecture of Philippe Briand with a bright, innovative interior layout. Launched in the late 1980s, the Elite 326 was essentially the North American and export branding for the highly successful Feeling 326 hull. This model was a direct response to the demand for a fast, lightdisplacement coastal cruiser that didn't sacrifice the "open" feel usually reserved for much larger yachts. Built with a solid fiberglass hull and a balsacored deck, the 326 was part of Kirié’s transition toward the modern cruiserracer aesthetic, characterized by its distinctive wraparound panoramic windows.
