Buying a used Endurance: identify the builder before you evaluate the boat
A used Endurance isn't a single manufacturer's product. Which era to target
Material marks the clearest split in the range: an earlier ferrocement generation and a later fiberglass one that Sailing Magazine, reviewing the line in 1997, found had fully taken over. The Colvic Craft-built Endurance 38 sits entirely in that GRP generation, distinct from the ferrocement Endurance 37 that came before it. On the 38 specifically, the reviewer for Sailing Magazine flagged the cockpit as possibly on the small side, with no seat long enough to stretch out on comfortably.
