History and Design

The M24.5 entered production in 2009 under the Astilleros del Sur brand, before the company's evolution into Zonda Yachts in 2023. The design ethos, deeply rooted in Astilleros del Sur's commitment to high-quality, durable, and low-maintenance fiberglass boats, aimed to deliver "simplicity, comfort, and enjoyment" through "avant-garde designs." This approach is evident in the M24.5, which was conceived from years of experience to achieve a harmonious balance between the best attributes of a cruising sailboat and the agile performance of a regatta boat.

A notable design feature of the M24.5 is its versatile keel options. While typically equipped with a lifting keel, which was redesigned in 2017 for improved functionality, a fixed keel version, known as the M24.5 FX, is also available. This flexibility allows the boat to cater to various sailing preferences, including those requiring shallow draft capabilities or convenient trailerability for diverse sailing grounds.
