The Frers 26 is a distinctive sailboat, conceived by the renowned Argentine naval architect Germán Frers in the early 1980s. Designed with a dual purpose in mind, she was offered as both an International Offshore Rule (IOR) Quarter-Ton racing yacht and a cruiser version known as the Tonner 26. This compact vessel, measuring just over 25 feet in length overall, was later built by the Brazilian firm Mariner Construções Náuticas Ltd., where it was also known as the Ranger 26 or Mariner 26, cementing its place in the South American sailing landscape. The Frers 26 embodies the designer's philosophy of blending performance with practical comfort, creating a vessel that appeals to both competitive sailors and those seeking an agile coastal cruiser.
