The Winter Harbor 21 is a classic gaff-rigged sloop, celebrated as one of the oldest active one-design racing fleets in the United States. Commissioned by members of the Winter Harbor Yacht Club in Maine in 1906, she was designed for exhilarating club racing and recreational sailing. This distinctive wooden sailboat is largely credited to Alpheus Packard, who worked in partnership with the renowned naval architect W. Starling Burgess during its inception. The construction was entrusted to George Lawley & Son, a firm synonymous with superior craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail in American yacht building.
