The Comfortina 42 emerged from the drawing board of Thomas Bern in the late 1990s, with its production commencing in 1998. Comfortbåtar AB, the original builder, was known for its commitment to crafting timeless, high-quality yachts that prioritized perfect sailing characteristics, safety, speed, and a high degree of comfort within an elegant aesthetic. Bern's design for the 42, like his other Comfortina models, aimed for a harmonious balance, creating a sailboat built to a very high standard.
