Production of the C&L Explorer 45 commenced in 1978, at a time when Taiwan's yacht building industry was flourishing, transitioning from original equipment manufacturing to establishing its own recognized brands. C&L Marine Corp, the builder, became known for its commitment to durable fiberglass construction, a material choice that provided longevity and design flexibility.
